Dear Colfax Families,

I hope you had a WONDERFUL Winter Break with your children! I can’t believe it’s already 2016!

We have been hard at work on Monday and Tuesday analyzing student work and data and planning lessons in response to what we are noticing. There is a lot to celebrate as we think about how much students have grown this first semester. We will be celebrating students who showed high growth and high performance on A2, our second round of interim assessments (grades 2-5). Dear Colfax Families,

Today we finished our second round of Interim Testing and we are so proud of how hard our 2nd-5th graders worked! We will be celebrating students who showed high effort at our Morning Meeting on December 18th, as well as sharing the winners of our December Attendance Challenge! Dear Colfax Families,

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your family! We are refreshed and excited to finish out 2015 strong with your child and his/her learning!

During the month of December, we are challenging all students to attend school 95% or more of the time! We will be tracking attendance from December 1st through December 17th. If your child’s attendance is 95% or better during this window, he/she will be entered into a drawing for a free refurbished bike and several 7-Eleven gift cards! This drawing will take place on Friday, December 18th during Morning Meeting. Students must be present to win. J
