Tiger Tales October 22nd

Dear Colfax Families,

We are hoping you will join us at our Family Hiking Adventure on Saturday, October 24th. We will leave Colfax on a bus at 8:45 a.m. and return by 1. Snacks and water will be provided!

On Friday, October 30th we will host a Trick or Treat Street and other fun fall activities! Your child is welcome to wear his/her costume beginning at 3:30 and enjoy the fun!

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be happening after school the week of October 26-30. Your child’s teacher will be sending home more information. Our goal is to have 100% of families attend a conference! [Read more…]

Tiger Tales October 15th

Dear Colfax Families,
Please remember that there is no school for students on Monday and Tuesday (October 19th and 20th). We will be analyzing our students’ results from their interim and other assessments and planning new lessons based on the data.

Tiger Tales Oct. 8th

Dear Colfax Families,
Our second – fifth grade students worked SO hard on their interim assessments this week. We are so proud of them! We can’t wait to dig into the results to see what celebrations we have and what we need to reteach.

Dear Colfax Families,
There is a lot going on at Colfax these next few weeks. Please mark your calendars!
• Please make sure your child is on time, eats breakfast and has a good night’s sleep for our Interim Assessments next week (2nd-5th).
• Please join us for our Parent Meeting on Thursday, October 8th at 8:15 or 2:00 p.m. The morning session will be conducted in Spanish and the afternoon session will be in English. Tiger Tales September 24th

Dear Colfax Families,
I hope you are enjoying these last few warm days! I am excited to share that all second-fifth graders will take a Literacy and Math Achievement Network (ANet) interim assessment the first week of October. Our teachers have been working hard to prepare your students for these assessments and we can’t wait to dig into the results to see how students are progressing towards mastery of grade level content standards and modify our classroom instruction to better support students.
