Mayor Visits Colfax to Support Meal Program

1550Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock recently spent time at Colfax Elementary to visit with students and help prepare backpacks filled with food for them to take home over the weekend. More than 90% of Colfax students receive a free or reduced-price meal at school — and thanks to Blessings in a Backpack, 50 students receive a backpack every Friday filled with food that they can eat and share with their family over the weekend. Thank you to Mayor Hancock and Blessings in a Backpack for helping Every Child Succeed!
