About Me:

This is my 15th year in Arts Education, and my 7th year at Colfax as Creativity Coach (Art Teacher)! I am a transplant from California where I worked in private Catholic schools teaching Music, Drama, PE, and Visual Arts before moving my family to Denver. I have a passion for collaboration, and helping every human find their creative voice.

I grew up in Los Angeles California, and fell in love with performing and creating at a very young age. I graduated from Chapman University with a BS in Theatre, and went back to school at Loyola Marymount University to earn my teaching license and a Masters in Educational Leadership in an Urban Setting.

When I am not in the classroom, I love to spend time with my two teens, my dogs and my friends. You can find us crafting, singing, hiking, swing dancing, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and watching movies. We love to visit art galleries, museums, and live performances of all kinds!

Hey Colfax!

This is my 9th year teaching at Colfax. I started off as a 3rd grade teacher and I was able to stay at Colfax six years ago when I became the Physical Education and Dance teacher.

I grew up in Denver, Colorado where I developed a strong interest in sports and being active. Although I never had any formal dance training, I have always loved to let loose and move my body to music and this is one of my favorite things to do with students.

I still enjoy dancing and being active with basketball, rugby, wakeboarding, camping, and all the Colorado activities with friends and family. I also love going to student events including chess, theater, dance, sports and all types of extracurricular activities so please let me know.
