About Me:

This is my 3rd year as a Special Education teacher at Colfax and my 9th year in education. I have taught Special Education, 2nd grade, and 4th grade in the past. I was inspired by my own amazing 1st grade teacher who instilled a love of learning in me. I knew from then on that I wanted to be a teacher too! I believe each child has unique talents, and my passion is to see ALL students experience growth and success in school and in life.

I have a wonderful husband, Josh, as well as a sweet daughter, Evie, who is a student at Colfax. I grew up in Atlanta, GA and graduated from Mercer University with a bachelors in Elementary and Special Education and a minor in Spanish. We lived in New Orleans for 5 years where I taught school and ate delicious food. We have been in Denver for 7 years and enjoy going to local parks, camping, and Rockies games. We live just around the corner and love our West Colfax community!
