Principal’s Corner

Dear Colfax Community,

Thank you for your trust and for sharing your children with us on a daily basis.  As a mother myself, I understand the importance of trusting the school with the safety, health, and well- being of my child, and I want our community to know that I do the same for your child.  I take very seriously the role each staff member plays in the personal and academic growth of all our students.  As such, we value each day we are able to have with in-person learning and the safety precautions we have to take as a community to make this type of learning continue to happen.  

At Colfax we say each morning “Make every minute count, and every moment matter.”  To do this, in addition to core academics and the arts, we prioritize our social emotional learning each day, and we invest in relationships with students, staff, and our families.

I look forward to welcoming new families and continuing to celebrate our students, our teachers, our ever-supportive parents and everyone who is part of the Colfax family.

Gracias por su confianza y por compartir a diario a sus hijos con nosotros. Como madre, entiendo la importancia de confiarle a la escuela la seguridad, la salud y el bienestar de mi hijo, y quiero que nuestra comunidad sepa que hago lo mismo por su hijo. Tomo muy en serio el papel que juega cada miembro del personal en el crecimiento personal y académico de todos nuestros estudiantes.

Como tal, valoramos cada día que podemos tener con el aprendizaje en persona y las precauciones de seguridad que debemos tomar como comunidad para que este tipo de aprendizaje continúe.En Colfax decimos cada mañana: “Haga que cada minuto cuente y que cada momento importe”. Para hacer esto, además de las materias académicas básicas y las artes, priorizamos nuestro aprendizaje socioemocional cada día e invertimos en las relaciones con los estudiantes, el personal y nuestras familias.Espero dar la bienvenida a nuevas familias y continuar celebrando a nuestros estudiantes, nuestros maestros, nuestros padres siempre solidarios y todos los que forman parte de la familia Colfax.
